3D printing with ice

#1
Just food for thought while you drive to and from work everyday...

I got this idea while watching Frozen with my girlfriend and 10 month old son. Could a 3d printer make ice sculptures by "extrudeing" water which is under a lot of pressure into an extremely cold vacuum freezer. What would have to be engineered to make this happen. Somewhat of a pointless application but an entertaining thought none the less.

Although we don't have any ice out here, I was thinking about this to. But rather than printing I was thinking about attaching an engraving tip to the printer to carve photos into ice. Be great if we had something modular to allow us to do something like this.
