Layers shifting during print

#1
I am having issues with the print shifting. I have printed the same part 3 times and each time it shifts over and not the same spot, and not the same direction, first time x+ , 2nd x-, 3rd time x+. I have resliced and repaired each time getting decent resolution. Running medium speed and virtually no jerk. Each time i re-run the print you can tell its starting the same exact spot on the bed. I would attach a picture but each time it tells me the file is to big. any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Try checking the stepper driver potentiometers in the electronics box. It's possible the motors are getting too much or too little current and may need slight adjustment. Also try using the latest slic3r config file with slic3r RC2. Maybe there was an issue in one of the older versions. If you use the latest config file, and since you have a printer released prior to jan 30th 2014, make sure to go to "Filament Settings > Filament" and set the extrusion multiplier to 0.85

What extrusion multiplier should be used for printers released after 1/30/14? And how do I know for sure if my printer was released before or after that date, it was pretty close I think...

Max file size is 250kB. Mine are over 2MB so I had to resize them down to 25% of original size. Use any image editing program and find "Scale" or "Resize" option.

It's all about the firmware that was installed on your printer. If you install the new firmware from our download site it will use the 1.0 multiplier. Our transition started with February printer shipments (meaning if you were in the Feb batch of Kickstarter pledges). I just uploaded the latest single head and dual head firmware to the site. You can use page #3 of the manual to install the firmware.
