How to connect to MacPronterface?

#1
My Mac (10.6.8) thinks that the gMax controller is a modem when I connect via USB. How does one configure things so that a Mac running Proterface (Printrun) can talk to the gMax? Do we need to install some (FTDI?) drivers or something?

OK, some progress - I've connected and can control the printer via Repetier Host, yay!

The gMax's Arduino doesn't show up at all in PrintRun/Pronterface:

The Arduino IDE and Simplify3D Creator can see the port(s), but neither can connect. The Arduino IDE doesn't go up to 250K baud; Creator throws up a message that the Mac's native drivers can't handle 250K and it fails when it tries to communicate. That's a shame because I'd really like to use Creator.

I was wondering why connecting at 115k wasn't working. (that's what I use on Vision 3D)

Bumped it up to 256k and Repetier (Mac) is now connecting. Now I have to figure out why print head isn't heating properly!
