Proper potentiometer voltage

I know this is an old post, but I just recently performed this portion of my own build and had them tuned entirely incorrectly until I found this: http://reprap.org/wiki/G3D_driver#VREF_ ... on_Formula. The reference voltage is measured from ground to the top of the reference voltage trimpot. Ground is labeled on the driver on the corner pin nearest to the ref voltage trimpot.

I think the formula came out a bit high on voltage because the drivers got pretty hot so I tuned them back a bit from there. The motors are running very smoothly with absolutely no skips.

I was able to get my dialed in so far without having to get the multimeter out.
