Extruder hitting spool holder?

#1
I'm printing a 11" tall horn. This picture is taken at about 8-9in high, and printing is still going on.

If my calculation is correct, the extruder (top part, near the bulky cable) will hit the spool holder in the next 2-3 hours. Has anyone printed something in gmax to its max (or almost max) before?

I hesitated to move the spool all the way to the left/right because the pulling action will be going to the side, and may destabilize the spool.

Advise?

Thank you.

Hi Hadi,
I tied my bundle to the spool holder at an upwards angle. As the extruder gets to the top the bundle moves up and to the side.

You can also tie it to the right side of the cross bar.

We put the wire bundle on the fronf of the printer hanging off the left side. This is how it ships too. This way it wont hit the spool holders.

You can also download and print the alternative spool design which sits on a single bearing. Sometimes we found it spins a little too freely so some resistance may be required however when installed to the back of the printer it should completely miss the extruder.
