What is an “Endstop”

An endstop is the industry term for the mechanical switch found at the end of the X, Y and Z axis. When this switch is engaged it tells the printer that is the furthest point for that particular axis. The gMax printer uses (3) endstops, one for each axis, to determine the zero point for that axis. The other end is programed into the software which is why we don’t have a maximum endstop.
