MINTEMP or MAXTEMP Issue

-If you see MINTEMP on the LCD screen this means the printer can’t read from the thermistor (temperature sensor) on the hotend.

-You will also see this if you literally unplug the thermistor since the arduino can't read the temperature.

-Using the wiring diagram, check to make sure the thermistor is plugged into the correct spot in the electronics board. Direction shouldn't matter.

-Check to make sure the wire is not broken or loose.

-Note if your connection is weak, this may lead to a MAXTEMP issue. Basically the Arduino won't read the thermistor temp (since it will be zero) and it will attemp to keep heating the hotend causing it to overheat. Then if the thermistor does read the temperature, from a shaky connection, it will all the sudden realize the temp to to hot and throw a MAXTEMP issue.

-Contact us for further information if the problem persists.

Gordon:

I sent you a private message but it's still sitting in my outbox several hours later. Bottom line, I need a new thermistor. Details are in the PM. If you never get the PM, let me know and I'll send it again.
