Does anyone know where the two relay control wires should be attached to the RAMPS board?
I'm guessing not D08 terminals used to power the smaller heat bed on my other printer.
Thanks
Interesting. Jury is still out if these guys are incompetent or malicious. Although I've encountered more than my fair share of the latter, Occam's razor reminds me to never attribute to mal-intent what can be explained by simple incompetence. :-)
Will give them a call. Thanks for the info!
I'm going through the same process. Ordered and installed the 18x18 MK1 PCB heated bed. The 30 Amp Relay board will arrive in about a week or so.
Until then I'm sitting waiting...

Upgraded to glass bed and U-channel supports, then added aluminum support plate to fix the bed wobble as it reversed Y direction.
Now I'm having zero luck getting the first layer to stick. Gave it a try for a few days, then ordered the 18 x 18 Monster Heated bed. :-)
Great design. Looks good.
Did you make the tension spring ribbons yourself or purchase them? If the latter, what are they called?
Nearest match I can find online are half moon tension springs but they'll require enough tweaking that I'm not sure they're worth buying.

Couple questions on how tightly your print bed is attached...
Q) If you grab the front of your bed and jiggle it up and down (while everything is powered down), how much...
Back after a bit of a break. :-)
Added the additional L brackets as discussed but am still seeing enough bed sag in the middle of the bed to prevent large prints. :-(
Additional L brackets
Splitting the bed into 9 sections, I can print test cubes individually in each. However the center...
Gordon mentioned removing a couple of the print bed support pieces because their contribution to keeping the bed flat was unclear at the time.
Why not just use MDF? Two reasons...
1) Why re-invent the wheel if there is a known solution?
2) For the looks. I already have one 3D printer with a...
Thanks! I will pick up the 1/2" MDF later this week in preparation for modification this weekend.
While the MDF is a great user supplied fix, I would like the original plans for the print bed that contain the support pieces that were removed. I'm cool with sourcing and paying for the pieces...
