What slicer did you use? I have been using simplify 3d and have been impressed by the easy to remove supports, but I noticed slic3r has new support options.

Simplify 3D should work with the xt just fine. I didn't load any special configuration the first time I used S3D -- I manually defined the printer's layout / configuration. There are settings for the build volume in the preferences where X, Y, and Z dimensions can be defined.

When you say you unplugged it, you are talking about the endstop? If that's the case, it sounds like you just need to replace that endstop. Gordon can probably get one to you. If you need it fast, you can always order one yourself. They can be found on Amazon or eBay pretty cheap. I used Amazon...

If you unplug that endstop, does the computer see the printer? Also, if you shut off the printer's power supply, does the computer see the printer?

The limit switch LEDs turn on when the switch is triggered. Are you saying the LED does not turn on when the switch is pressed?

This probably would be a bad idea on an acrylic bed, but for prints that just won't come loose I have found that a heat gun on the bottom of the print bed until the top surface gets warm will easily release the stubborn print.

I'm glad you're getting along well with those settings. One thing about the brim -- I alter the number of loops based on what I'm printing. If it's something with a lot of surface area that might cause more pull of the plastic as the layers cool or something with a very small surface area...
